Yes, you can run it on through ColorPort on macOS. You can use my new profiling tools to generate custom ink calibration targets to measure in auto mode. I worked with through the process with someone remotely over the summer who uses one and it worked just fine. If my letter size auto chart reader doesn't comes back to life I will be looking at picking one up (after I get stuff working with the color munki).
There is a USB and a serial port version of the DTP41 so look at for which version you have/are or getting. If you have a serial port version you will still be able to use it with a keyspan type serial to USB adapter. You might need to jump through a few hoops, but it should work.
