​Without doing more work than I have time for now, I'm not sure I understand the question.
You have 7 working channels. You could have a toner plus 6 carbons -- using the full Eb6 set for the carbon.
Occasionally​ I've made profiles for Eb6 in an 8 ink printer than used the extra positions for a secondary carbon partition. You don't really need this. It was mostly a way to just use the channels.

For the Option 2 plan (clear fluid in the defective Cyan channel and then work with the rest), would it make sense to drop one of LK or LLK? I'm mentioning those two channels because in my current setup, for my proofing paper, K has a limit of 65 and all channels except LK and LLK have limits of 45.5. LK and LLK both have limits of 19.5.
