Printing the paper manufacturer provided profile at 1440dpi results
without issues. It seems that the QTR provided starter profiles need to
be printed with 2880dpi with newer printers, to be confirmed...

Thanks very much for sharing this information. Very useful for those moving up from the *880 machines to the P800.
I have always used the 2880 dpi setting when printing digital negatives with the *800/*880 printers (and with prints on paper), with the assumption being why not take advantage of the best resolution available? So I might have missed the reason for the problem for a long time without your post.
