Re: 2 Channel Profile for printing films.. how?

Hi Rafe,

thanks for answering me!

Currently, the Epson is filled with original Epson Pigment ink, but I can't manage to get the films dense enough. Not sure how dye and pigment would affect each other, when not used together... As the printer has a dead channel and is not my main machine (I have a working 7900 for photos and such), I would like to try it.

I also tried with the demo version of Accu Rip, which works very well, but is also very expensive. For me, as a hobbyist, 500$ hurt my wallet :-(

You are right about gimp print, which is now GutenPrint. The problem with it is, it seems not to be able to target the orange and the green channel currently, which would make it useless for my purpose :-(

That is why I would like to go with QTR. Currently, at calibration mode, it already does exactly what I want, with EITHER orange OR green. Now I would like to make my own curve to use them both without calibration mode, but this is exactly where I don't know how, what, where to begin.

I have for sure looked at other curves and profiles. But I can't put it together, where and how do I have to start?!

Kind regards,
Pugsley
