Re: High Sierra

I have macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 (running here under VMWare on my Windows 10 system) with QTR 2.7.7 (latest), Print Tool 2.1.1 (latest) and Piezography Pro Community Edition 1.94 (latest). Everything works fine, including Calibration Mode. My printer is a 7900 connected via my network.

I am normally a Windows user of QTR and Piezography Pro inks, but I've recently setup this macOS VM to (among other things) investigate the different file resolution handling in QTR on Windows and macOS platforms, and also to have a chance to look at the new mac-only data tool which Roy posted.

Regarding the "funky output" mentioned in the referenced thread at InkjetMall forum: I can offer that in my first attempt at installing my custom Quad7900 printer on the macOS system, I ran into some interesting permissions problems on my Piezography Pro quad files. I had copied these over from my working QTR on Windows environment and put them in my own named folder under the Piezography Curves folder on the mac, but after installing the printer on macOS and running my first test print with Print Tool, it was extremely dark, similar to the "funky output" as mentioned. I then noticed that the macOS print queue window was complaining that access to the quad files was "denied" with no access. After some investigation, I was able to correct the quad file permissions and ownership settings on the mac using Terminal and command-line tools. A full uninstall and then re-install of the printer resolved everything at this point. So my key observation (FWIW) is that permission problems on quad files can cause very "funky" output with QTR.
