QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi All,
Brand new here (first post)and I started getting great prints with this 
software already. I was a darkroom fanatic for 30 yrs so I am picky but 
pleased with this new inkjet printing.


Questions...............
Are there specific curves for papers like Photo Rag and Museo, or do we 
create them? Still a little unsure. I know there are ICC profiles out 
there but I'm still a little confused. 

What is THE stepwedge or B/W test print to print and check your 
settings?
