If you are using it just as a print server, why not just buy a cheap used mac for $500. I have a G3 and G5 I use for my drum scanners and printer for that reason as well. For better or worse The educational and photo art community drove the technology based in Apple products. I recently threw in the towel on trying to fit my PC into the workflow when it comes to QTR, Digital Negatives, Digital Positives, Piezography and purchased a MacBook Pro. Paid a kings ransom for it, but the QTR print tool for Mac makes working in this world much easier. I will continue to manipulate my files on my PC but will use the MacBook for output. > > On Sun, Oct 13, 2019 at 1:24 PM jharvey@... <mailto:jharvey@...> [QuadtoneRIP] <QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com <mailto:QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com>> wrote: > > > I've been working on switching over to Windows for various reasons. Just wondering if anyone here is a programmer and if they would be interested in coming up with a new QTR system including a port of Print Tools for Windows in conjunction with Roy. I love Print Tools and QTR as they exist in the Mac World and it is the only reason other than Richard Boutwell wonderful software which keeps me from Windows 10. I know it is heresy but that's where I am. Tired of Apple making it harder and harder to use even the 2012 Pro and pushing their Unbelievably expensive hardware. I think they are really more interested in Phones and Tablets. I might have seriously irritated Roy with my requests for Windows Ports. You might have a better chance if you have programming abilities to offer. Just a thought. > > > >
