QTR-Quadtone RIP

When I printed out a calibration page on my R1800 I was surprised to 
see that the Gloss Optimizer channel has some tint to it. I thought 
this was supposed to be clear, and now I'm worried that my gloss 
cartridge gotten contaminated with black ink.

Do other people see the gloss channel the way I'm describing it, or 
might I have a problem here? 

Of course the gloss isn't used with QTR, but it is used for my color 
prints on glossy paper.
