Everyone who posted here has some interesting suggestions, but the issue comes down to the ink selection in QTR and the fact that you are using an R1800 printer. The default (and only profiles) for the R1800 in QTR are for Matte paper so they use the Matte black ink. You are printing on glossy paper and your printer has a gloss black. You need to utilize that black. What I had to do was to create a new profile that uses the gloss black instead of the matte black.
