QTR-Quadtone RIP

A cry for help from a new user.  QTR installed fine, printed OK first
time (but I'd set 2800 so it was too dark - found out about this problem
from earlier postings).  However, now all it prints is solid blacks. 
I've tried re-installing (don't seem to be able to get rid of earlier
settings), but still no joy.  Current settings are:

Printer:    EPSON Stylus Photo 2100
Model: Quad2100
Curve setup
Resolution: 1400 super
Speed: Better
Dither: Ordered
Curves
UC-EEnhMatte-cool 50%  / UC-EEnhMatte-warm 50% (I think you have to
choose two curves - correct?)
Ink Limit Adjustment - defaults.

VERY frustrated I can't get this to work - sure I'm doing something
stupid, but can't see what.  Any advice gratefully received.

BTW - the printer produces fine neutral prints out of Photoshop CS2 and
Lightroom.
