QTR-Quadtone RIP

So here I am, day 2 with QTR and UC7.  So far so good but I have some
questions.

First few prints I made I had the document setting on SRGB and not
Gamma 2.2. So I changed that to 2.2. I reprinted and really saw no
difference.  

Todays prints I had the printer profile set to QTR RGB matt.  I hadn't
found or seen the suggested QTR Gray Matt setting.  So I found it and
now with everything set according to the PDF instructions I see no
difference in highlights, shadow, sharpness or print color or anything
compared to when I had it set wrong.

So I don't see any difference when I have it set to RGB settings or
Gray settings.  Should I?  I notice the file size shrinks when I set
it to Gray vs RGB but I see no difference there either.

So if I have no problems what's the problem?  Just curious as to what
I should be seeing.
