For my epson 2100 with UT3D I'm in the process of switching over to 2880 since I get better Dmax and smoother prints. Not that the 1440 prints are bad, but the 2880 prints are just that bit better... > or have i been using lots of ink for a trivial difference between them? I don't think that 2880 dpi means more ink. One has to reduce the ink limit substantially in order not to lay too much ink down. The main setback is that printing is slower. Joost
