I also have never seen any information about alignment data.  Actually I think there's
a bunch of undocumented commands to the printer.  I think it's all saved in the
printer itself.  Based on the fine alignment you can do it's not something that the
driver (Epson or QTR) can do, so it really needs to be in the firmware.

So my guess is you align the printer and no matter what computer, OS, or driver
you use you get the same alignment.
