Can I swap Epson inks?

Using QT Rip, Epson 2200, OS 10.4.9   Can I swap Epson Photo Black for QT Rip's Matte Black 
and use Epson Enhanced Matte? Would that make a difference in the quality of the blacks on 
my prints?
My prints lack snap.
