OK, here is a theory about what happened. If the last thing you touched in QTRgui was the paper size, it will remain selected. If you just run QTRgui, the paper size will also be selected. If QTRgui remains the top window and you press the letter "a" on your keyboard, the A7 size will be selected. I suggest you minimize QTRgui to the system tray while it is processing the queue. That way no keystrokes will be sent its way. - Stephen stephen.sbillard.org -----Original Message----- From: QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com [mailto:QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of e.myrv Sent: Monday, August 27, 2007 9:40 PM To: QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com Subject: [QuadtoneRIP] QTR changes print size in midstream Hi, I have a strange and intermittent problem when printing several letter-size prints at a time on my Epson 2200. I'm using version 2.518 currently (Win XP Pro, SP 2). Today I copied about 15 tiffs into the folder that QTRGui is monitoring. All of these were sized in Photoshop (CS3) to 7.5 x 10" (at 360 dpi), mostly landscape and a couple of portraits. Paper size was set to "letter", "centered" was checked, and scale was set to 100%. The first half-dozen printed fine, and then suddenly the next couple printed only about 2/3rds, squeezed down to the lower left corner. I halted the print queue at that point, wondering what was wrong. I then noticed that in QTRGui the print size had changed from "letter" to "A7", spontaneously, with no intervention from me! I then set it back to "letter" and reloaded the bad images and the ones that hadn't printed yet, and they all came out just fine. I wouldn't even bother posting this except that this is the third time this has happened recently. The other two times were on prints from CS2. The designated print sizes are correct, but if I spool several prints at a time, something seems to change the paper size on me. Anybody else have this happen? Is there any way I can "lock" in the settings so it won't change when I'm not looking? Eric M. Yahoo! Groups Links
