I assume you are getting NO ink from the cyan cart, if so, it might be a bad chip. They go bad occassionally. Try a new cart or chip (if you know what you are doing you could use the one from the Epson cyan cart that came with your R1800--be careful). The R1800 empty chipped carts from MIS are inexpensive. I personally keep a complete set filled with cleaning solution and an empty set for "emergency" change out. MIS has been good at replacing bad carts. According to Paul Roark in a recent post on the DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint forum and my personal experiences, this appears to be their business model.
