QTR-Quadtone RIP

I recently upgraded to CS 3. When I tried to print a file presviously 
saved as a PSD file and converted to TIF format I recived an error 
message in a red box, Tiff format not recognized. I'm not sure what 
why. Any explainations? Did I save the file incorrectly. Is there 
something different about the file in CS 3. Any help would be 
appreciated.
