I have begun making satisfactory B&W prints as I noted in my last post, which was answered helpfully. So now I am trying to create my own version of the 3MK-EpsEnhancedMat curve from scratch for my R800 per the EyeOne folder. After lots of problems initially with the Measure tool I got what seemed to be several good readings of the 21x4 random tif printed with QTR. But I get an out file that states the Lab values are not in order and cannot be linearized. I believe the problem is that the 100 step has a lower density than the 95, so this ruins the linearity. This took me a long time and I got similar errors with earlier attempts. The EyeOne is working well according to the Diagnostic program, and I used it to make good ICC profile for UC inks on glossy paper, and to calibrate my monitor. Any on or off post suggestions gratefully accepted.
