I've been working with my wife's Epson 380 printer to see if it might be worth getting a 1400 later on. So far I've made two profiles for the 380 using the OEM Claria inks and the prints are surprisingly good. The first was a BO profile for Harman FBG. The second profile (380- Claria-EPGPP-2880 for Epson Premium Glossy) that I just added to the Files>Curves>Epson R380 folder uses a little bit of CMY ink to generate a composite midtone gray that helps smooth out the midtone grain and improves neutrality. I would be interested to know if these profiles will also work with the Epson 1400 printer.
