Hi Well, this has turned into a real bear of a program, at least for me. First, the "User's Guide" is written for Windows folks, but I gradually figured out that you first you must create a "printer" for OSX using the files in the "Printers" folder that appears in the "CurveDesign" folder. Once this is done Quadtone becomes just another printer you select. So using it is fairly easy. Creating custom profiles is another matter, however. There are reasonably detailed instructions for the Windows platform in the "User's Guide" and also in "Calibration.pdf". But I am at a total loss when trying to apply this stuff in OSX. I understand that you print out a test file, uncorrected, using Photoshop. This is the same type of procedure you follow when profiling any printer/paper combination. I understand further (once I found the correct file to print for my 3800 printer that contains all three black inks, "inkseparation8.tif") that you then calculate the relative relationship between the three inks, Light black's darkest color being such and such a percentage of black. And it is at this point that I get lost. Also, I paid the fee for the program to Mr. Harrington, but did not receive any serial number or whatever, that entitles me to use the full program, if, indeed, one receives such a key. Fortunately, Mr. Harrington has provided profiles for some of the papers used by the 3800. A "user's guide" for OSX folks would be a big help. Steve

For OSX users, is there a PDF that gives step by step on creating profiles?
