Re: borderless prints

2007-12-03 by Mike Dobbs

Just joined the group tonight too see what's up with borderless
printing in QTR...and here I find my answers.

But, with my Epson 1280 loaded with UT2, I can actually make it print
borderless...I use Qimage to "Print to File" after setting up a
printer driver setting for borderless (need to first select a
suitable paper type to enable borderless). The Qimage output goes to
QTR and yes it does come out borderless...but I've lost all the tone
cuver settings and print looks darker with some bronzing in the heavy
ink areas.

So, I guess this is happening cause QTR is discarding the curve
selections and just dumpingan adjusted file to the printer, right?

Pity...the shots look great 8.5x11" borderless. But, I'll reduce or
go to larger paper and break out the paper cutter.

Mike.
