QTR-Quadtone RIP

This is my first post.  I've struggled to get QTR installed and working in leopard / epson4000 
printer.  I'm finding most of the posts in this forum way over my head technically, but am 
appreciative that such a lively and informed forum exists.

I'm getting better results already than I do with Colorburst, Epson, or Imageprint drivers. 
Can't wait to improve further.

So, a couple of newbie-style questions.

1.  Is there a library somewhere of curves for more papers than those that download with 
QTR?  I'd particularly like to duplicate the results one might get with platinum, selenium, and 
barium papers (from the days of wet printing)

2.  Can someone enlighten me on the differences between matte and photo black for the 
Espon 4000?  Which works better when?
