RE: [QuadtoneRIP] QTR create ICC difficulty

2008-02-19 by George Pappas

Just to close the loop…I solved the problem.

The issue I had was that I was saving the measured data from the measure
tool into a txt file rather than exporting the lab data into a txt file. I
saw the exact procedure on outbackphoto’s website.

Roy, perhaps you want to make a slight change the documentation for
QTR-create-ICC. The current doc states that you need to save the measured
information but does not say to export the lab data. Thanks for such a
powerful and useful set of tools…

Best Regards,

George

I think the problem is that your lab readings reverse as you go through the
patches.

Most likely caused by your dark patches not being seperated or even too much
ink reversing the lab readings (high reading for lower patches).

If you have access to Excel you can load in the txt file, sort the readings
by patch value and plot what is happening to your readings.

Good luck, Mike
