Hi All, I use a Mac G5 running OSX 10.5.2 and am very familiar with the Mac and many parts of calibration including running IT8 Target software measuring programs etc. However, I cannot wrap my head around the basic STEPS that on should follow to start printing with QTR. I know this sounds primitively basic but the literature leaves me with questions (not a problem with the literature). I have everything installed and understand the premise behind all of the parts to QTR but I can't seem to put this together in a step-by-step process! I am using an Epson R2400 with UC inks. Do I first print a CALIBRATION print using a generic Ink Descriptor File and then after measuring fill in my values? Is this the first step? And in the Hardware Ink Limit Calibration am I supposed to look at ALL of the inks to find max output? Calibration does not include curves right? If you calibrate your printer then how do you use this file to print with tonal curve? Or do you have to go through the calibration process with each curve combination you use? Do you have to calibrate for every paper/curve combination? And after all this calibration where does linearization come in? Sorry for this, most likely, basic lack of understanding but with all of the rich information in the tutorial (which I DO understand given each separate process) I seem to need the basic 1-2-3 steps. Can anybody PLEASE give me just the basic step-by-step that outlines the MAIN PROCESS. The Tutorial provides great info for each stage but I can't seem to grasp how these stages work together - the "flow" or "order" of printing from QTR anew. Hope that makes sense and I would much appreciate anybody who might help. Cody
