QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hello,
I'm running OS 10.5.2 on an intel. My problem is this. I had added a small epson desk top 
printer, which required  eliminating my other printers. Now, when I added my epson 7800 
back to the list of printers in the Print & Fax in the system preferences my 7800 ( named 
Quad 7800) doe not show up. Because of this I can't access QTR.
Do I now have to reinstall QTR 2.6?
I have tried to reinstall through the  folder that is in my user area. To try to make that more 
clear, I have a folder in my user category that has the folder for the 7800 that contains all 
my profiles & a reinstall  app. That is where I double clicked to reinstall.
Needless to say a major pain in the rump for adding a desk top printer.
