Hi Scott, I can help you with the .quad files. The error in the .quad file is the extra double-quote " at the end of the first line --- see the " at the end of the error line. It's easy to fix, just open the .quad file in TextEdit and look at line 1 it should be: ## QuadToneRIP K,C,M,Y,LC,LM,LK,LLK without any quotes in it. Save the .quads and rerun the script -- (if you are using version 2.6.1 you need to drag a new install script from /Applications/QuadToneRIP/Profiles/InstallScripts rename it to the correct name if needed. That should get the profiles loaded correctly. What inks go where I don't know. I would like to see if anyone has any profiles for gloss or semi-gloss/luster papers. I have had no luck getting the profiles (.quad files) from Media Street to load. I keep getting the following error: > > Inks mismatch: PPD has K,C,M,Y,LC,LM,LK,LLK and Quad has K,C,M,Y,LC,LM,LK,LLK" > Curve GQ2-R2400-GChromeLustre-Cold > > and they don't show up in the QuadTone RIP curve drop down in the print screen of CS3, only the "UC" curves show up. > > System Specs. > Dual Quad Core Mac Pro (Intel processors) > Leopard OS X > QuadTone RIP is loaded and it works great with the color ink sets for both my 2200 and the R2400. > > One other issue: the GQ2 inks come with 2 gloss optimizers, and I am supposed to swap out the PK and MK depending on the paper (I usually use gloss). I thought that the R2400 system would allow for both MK and PK to be installed at the same time. I am confused!!!!! > > Any help in these issues would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks in advance. > > Scott >
