Geday from Australia, (for the Americans: that's to the left and below Hawaii ;-) When I print a (beeeyootiful) B&W print using Quadtone RIP, and then print a colour shot using the Epson RIP, the colour comes out - mostly normal - but the skin tones usually include a band of hideous orange in the gradient of the skin tone. Similar to setting the monitor to "thousands of colours" and not 16 million as default. Only skin tones. This used to frustrate me and drive me cazy as there was no dialog box I could reliably fiddle with that would fix this.. Mac OSX 10.5 (and 4) Epson 4000 I FIGURED OUT A FAILSAFE SOLUTION... 1) set print profile and printer (all dialogs) back to colour settings 2) print 3) Quickly cancel that print as it will be whorible colour anyway 4 Quit and relaunch Photoshop Anybody out there got a similar issue? Any brainiacs out there got a more elegant solution? I do this OFTEN and it wastes paper if the printer takes off fast. jom@/NOSPAM/jom.com.au
