Roy, I am seeing a "shadow edge" along the edge of sharp transitions in density when printing with QTR on the R1900. I've tried Hybrid and Adaptive dithering both give same result. I don't see the "shadow edge" when printing with the epson driver. I am seeing these "shadow edges" in transitions from dark to light in the direction of printing, but not from light to dark. I set up a test print with an example image showing the transition issue and the same image rotated 180 degrees. I've scanned the test print @ 2400 dpi and cropped it to get the file size down. I've uploaded it to the files section as "1900 QTR dither issue". The left image has a clearly visible shadow along the dark edge - see arrow. Would appreciate feedback on why this is occuring. Presumably this is reducing visable print resolution and tonal distribution. Also would be interested to know if others see this problem on different printers. Txs, Mike
