Re: Help using QTR-Create-ICC.exe

2008-10-10 by slcphoto73

Thanks, Michael. I might be putting down too much ink; I'll try
adjusting that. What would your recommendation be for how, using the
Epson ABW driver on a 3800?

If I want to try your Excel trick, so I can see what is out of order
without relying on create-icc.exe, (I am very ignorant when it comes
to Excel): how do I get the values into Excel and which field in the
.txt file is the expected reading?

Also interestingly, when I look at the .txt files from a strip mode
reading of the original .tif file and a patch mode reading of the same
file stretched huge so each patch is about 1" on a side, the values
are noticeably different. Photoshop reports the same RGB values in
both, and they are printed on the same piece of paper using the same
ABW settings, so do I deduce that MeasureTool can't handle the tiny
squares in strip mode?

Warmly appreciative of your help,
