Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Prints are very dark on Epson 4000

This has been mentioned before but it's worth hitting on again.

It looks like you've run into the problem with CS4 and 10.5. There's
a problem with
color management with that combination and grayscale printing. I've
been working
with both Adobe & Apple to get this fixed but its a pretty slow process.
(BTW, is also an issue with Epson ABW printing as well as QTR printing.)

There are couple workarounds.

1) Easiest is to keep CS3 around just for printing. Editing is fine
with CS4 but doing the
actual print from CS3.

2) If in CS3 you were using No Color Management when printing, do this when you
want to print (don't save the changes permanently) -- Assign
GenericGray to the file
(screen with look different ignore that), then Print with GenericGray
as print profile.

3) If in CS3 you were using a Print profile, then you should first
Convert-to-Profile to the
Print profile and then do (2) as above.
