I discovered our department at work had a never-used printfix pro (with the datacolor 1005 spectrophotometer) sitting around idle. I borrowed it, downloaded the newest Spyder3Print software, and now I'm trying to use it to generate linearization data for a QTR profile. I can't figure out how to get it to read QTR's grey step targets or emit data in the format QTR wants. The release notes for SpyderPrint talk about doing a full color/grey profile of a paper/ink combination and then telling it to export in QTR linearization data format but that seems baroque and would require measuring literally hundreds of color swatches just to get the 21 or 51 steps I want for QTR. What is the simplest way to use this equipment and software to linearize a QTR profile? Thanks! Thor
