I have been using XPx64 since 2005 with only minor issues. XPx64 was only available as OEM software at retail level when customers purchased hardware. It was well documented on Microsoft forums that there was a lack of drivers and investigation was necessary. I have been selling computers for over 30 years and XP 64 bit was never going to be for the average person due to cost of hardware. It was designed to be used by Power Users and I sold and supported all my sales here in NZ after I investigated drivers, motherboards and processors with clients existing equipment. I never once sold a 64bit lemon to a customer under XP, although I have supported alot of other dealers customers who maybe got sucked into the sale. Anyone who works with large files needed the 64bit advantage. With Vista things became easier since drivers were available in most cases. Windows 7 accepts most XP 64bit and Vista 64bit drivers that I have tested over the last 18 months of testing, but there are exceptions. I use Qimage, QTRrip, Adobe CS3 and 4, Panorama software including Gigapan software all under XP and Vista 64 with no problems. Also Dual screen and Spyder2Pro colour management.
