I print using Cone Special Edition inks. This ink set begins with sepia shadows, moves to selenium mid tones and ends with neutral highlights. As a result, the toning of the final image depends on how much shadow, midtone and highlight content there is. When I soft proof useing profiles created with "Create ICC-RGB" I can see how Special Edition inks will tone the specific image I'm soft proofing. This also includes the tone of the paper base (i.e. warmer papers will give the specular highlights and areas with no ink a bit of warmth whereas a cooler paper will cool them). Terry.
