QTR-Quadtone RIP

After a year off (birth of first child, hardware failures) I'm trying to pick back up with my BW printing.

Unfortunately I've actually lost progress.  I had to reinstall QTR and now I can not perform even the simplest tasks.

When I grab any qidf file and try to use 'show curve' I get the above mentioned error.

I'm still trying to create a valid output profile that uses 3 inks- K, M, and Y (I'll duplicate it and rotate it for C, LC/LM).  I love the look of the BO but I'd much prefer to have smoother tones.

SO, in short, can anyone set me back to progress?  And are there any other automated spreadsheets or, perhaps, better documented methods for producing curve files?
