Hi, I finally determined a setting that provides visible results similar to PS. Instead of using a gamma 2.2 profile, I keep my file as Adobe RGB. For Color Handling, I choose Let InDesign Determine Colors. For Printer Profile, I use the QTR RGB profile, uncheck preserve RGB numbers and in the graphics dialog - send all data. I use my custom QTR curves in the printer setup. --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "clrbl" <essessem@...> wrote: > > Hello, > There are lots of printing/color management options in InDesign. I haven't yet figured out the right combination, but the following should help you troubleshoot or frame your question better. All my B&W images are gamma 2.2 and I use the QTR_Gray_photo_black profile in PS. In Indesign, under color management the document is set to Adobe 1998 and in the print dialog I can only pick color profiles. I did find a QTR RGB & QTR lab profiles which I tried along with Adobe RGB 1998 but they didn't produce any better result. I was hoping someone in the group has experience on how to properly set the Indesign print dialog for B&W images when using QTR curves. Thanks > > >
