Thanks Jamie and Tom! Jamie I sent you an email to forward the PDF. I've done some research into connecting the old DTP-22/32 densitometers from serial to USB. Seems like the Mac only adapter from Keyspan USA-28x and the cross-platform USA19QW or USA19HS models work well as mentioned in the email below. Here's a few copy and paste from my notes: Date: Wed, 08 Sep 2004 08:21:46 -0400 Subject: Re: DTP22 connection From: RaymondCheydleur There are several possibilities, but first we need to be clear about what instrument you really have. A DTP22 is a chassis, that several instruments are built upon: Digital Swatchbook, CA22, GA22 and a host of specialized OEM and medical instruments. By your description you most likely have a Digital Swatchbook instrument, and thus in ToolCrib you need to select the Digital Swatchbook as the instrument not a "DTP22." Before you do this, I'd recommend unplugging the instrument from power and reconnecting, this will perform a soft reset which will aid in communications. Note that not all Keyspan adapters are alike. Under OSX we have found the older Keyspan USA 28 (beige) adapter typically do not work well. We have also found that "PDA adapters" do not work consistently either. We have had continued success with the Mac only Keyspan USA-28x and the cross-platform USA19QW or USA19HS models.
