QTR-Quadtone RIP

I installed QTR on my iMac running snow leopard and CS4. After some hastle with the Profiles and Curves, I finally tried to print from QTR. I found that QTR won't do boarderless prints and prevents any other driver from doing boarderless. So, when I tried to print an color image via cs4 I could not get a boarderless print. Further all the profiles that I had used were no longer there after QTR was installed. Finally I had to uninstall QTR out of fear it would do other things I couldn't controll. It appeared as if QTR rested on top of all the other imaging and print programs.
Anyone have any advice?
