I'm not all sure what you are doing. But the QTR and Epson driver are
completely independent -- there shouldn't be any trouble having both installed
at the same time.
One important thing to remember is that in general you need both Page Setup and
Print dialogs and you must select the same print driver in both cases.
QTR does not support borderless printing. The Epson driver does but note
that the borderless selections are in Page Setup not Print.
Given that you seem to be in an unknown weird state, I'd recommend you start
over setting up the printers. Use SysPrefs > Print & Fax and Delete
"-" all the
R2880 printers. Then Add the Epson driver -- use "+", select the printer first
and then Name is probably "EPSON Stylus Photo R2880" and Print Using
should be EPSON SP R2880. Now Add.
Then go to QTR: /Applications/QuadToneRIP/Profiles/R2880-UC
and run InstallR2880. You should now have a QuadR2880 printer.
If you are still having issues run (double-click) the script:
/Applications/QuadToneRIP/DiagnosticScript.command
Copy&Paste the text output and email that to me.

But, it appeared as it QTR changed the printing rules for theR2280 such that I can't get boarderless printing via the Epson Driver and all of the profiles that I used for Printing with the Epson driver had disappeared. In other words i couldn't achieve a complete separation between QTR and the Epson driver even when I choose the correct printer. I also think QTR did impact the calibration.
