did you get this resolved? I just setup a laptop with Snow Leopard, a 2400, and newest QTR version and resolution settings were right in the QTR interface as expected. Did you scroll to QuadtoneRIP in the print box where the first selection is "Layout"?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
