I downloaded some curves from the file library that were "with glop" 
and "without glop" (Epson 1800).  The "with glop" adds it, but for the 
whole paper size, not just the image size (Epson 1800 and OEM inks).  
Actually, I see less and less need for the glop.  When the prints are 
framed at eye level, the bronzing is not evident unless you look at odd 
angles.  I wasn't aware that glop protected the print.  Mine are 
completely dry out of the printer.  So far as I know it is not possible 
to get good b&w from an 1800 without a RIP.  I use QTR for my 1800 and 
QTR and ImagePrint for my 2200.  I like the QTR a little better.
