I am very new to the Quadtone RIP. I started using it to get rid of the pinkish cast I'd get from using the standard Epson driver to print B&W prints. I thought my only real alternative was ImagePrint. The QTR serves its function quite admirably, though I still have trouble in controlling it. I tried to tweak existing profiles to give me a very neutral tone but things did not turn out as well as I'd hoped. Then I tried the experimental cool curve for UC with PK ink on Epson Premium Semigloss posted by danielstaver. That profile is fantastic. It is not the tone I'd prefer, but it sure beats anything I had, that's for sure. It greatly enhances my printed images. I tried to "modify" it a bit to make it neutral, but quickly found out that it's not that easy. Nonetheless, thank you for a great profile. It worked wonders on the images I printed with it. If there is a way to make this profile more neutral (not that I'm complaining), please feel free to share it.
