I am experimenting QTR and had problems with the reliability of the result with my scanner (Epson 2450). I have developed a spread sheet that interpolates the values. Once the real values of the Kodak gray cards are entered (I used the values from Paul in making ICC with scanner) you scan the gray card and your test strip. With PS you measure the L values for both the test strip and the gray card and you run the macro (Tools>Macro>Macros (ALT+F8)). The macro interpolate the values, is a kind of lookup table. I notice that on the very highlight and shadows is still not very good. I request help in verifying the result with a real densitometer. I hope that this approach is more reliable than adjusting only the gamma. Your inputs are very much appreciated. The file is posted under zzMisc and it is called Scanner_Interpolation_V_0.xls. Thanks, Giuseppe
