Is there an equivalent QTR supported printer that I could use with the Artisan 730? I tried with the R260, 280, 380 series but did not work. Printer is set up for wireless network printing.

Any of the printers using claria inks supposed to be suitable. I can use P50 with R260, 280, 380 and with 1400. Have you tried epson 1400 profile, it is a much recent printer. but I suspect it is a wireless thing. Good luck --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "scho_2000" <list@...> wrote:

Thanks. You may be right about the wireless connection. How did you install a P50? Install script or manually via Print/Fax? --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "serdar_b" <sbilici@...> wrote:

I re-installed QTR and now I can access the Quadtone printer list and was able to install the Epson Artisan 730 as a QuadR280. --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "scho_2000" <list@...> wrote:

Problem now is that it doesn't print. Sending a print job results in the printer spitting out endless sheets of paper from the feeder. I'll try another printer emulation, but it looks like this is not going to work. --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "scho_2000" <list@...> wrote:

No luck setting up a Quad printer with any of the Claria printer surrogates. However, I was able to get excellent metamerism free BO prints on high gloss metallic papers using the Epson 730 driver, plain paper setting, annd B&W mode. If you use any of the photo paper settings then the printer will revert to full color mode, even with the B&W mode checked and the resulting prints will exhibit metamerism. I also tried some BO printing on fiber base glossy and matte papers, but the prints were too blue/black cool for my taste. The metallic high gloss and luster papers print very close to pure neutral using just the Claria black ink. --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "scho_2000" <list@...> wrote:
