I'm stumped. Printing with CS5 and QTR on Epson r2400. I was just print 8.5 x 11 just fine. Then I tried to print on 13 x 19 and I get this error message: "Image size (946 x 1409) is not valid" Anybody ever run into this or have some suggestions? Thanks, G

It's hard to tell for sure but I suspect you've got the same situation that someone else had. If you use both Epson driver with borderless printing and QTR you can get a mix up of the OSX Presets. It's a weird situation but can happen. This results in an illegal paper size. Note that the width 946 points = 13.14 inches which is too big. The following is what I told the other person and it fixed his issue. -- its just a matter of getting "clean" Presets for QTR. Roy What's going on is that the Preset (actually Last Used Settings) has both QTR settings and Epson settings. The Epson settings come from some previous printing that had borderless 13x19 printing. So it sets this variable to expand the size by 3% (Epson does this to make sure there's no white line on side). So in the end the 13in wide is multiplied by 1.03 which is too big. Pretty weird and contrived but that's whats happening. I tried to find a way to clean up a particular Preset but OSX seems pretty determined. The most foolproof is probably to Trash all the preset files and reboot the computer and start from scratch. But the less drastic way that I think will work is: When you are trying to make a Preset, first select Printer, second select Standard as the Preset, (or on newer OS's its called Default Settings. select all the options you want and then in the Preset - Save As a new name. The main thing here is not to start with an existing Preset which may have old values in it. Another thing that I'd recommend is to always use Presets for a particular printer not all printers. -- you should see that in the Preset Save window. Be sure to keep Epson Presets separate from QTR Presets. On Sat, Oct 27, 2012 at 4:21 PM, glemasurier <george.lemasurier@...> wrote: > I'm stumped. Printing with CS5 and QTR on Epson r2400. Roy, Thanks for the response.I tried deleting all the presets in the QTR print settings dialog box and creating a new preset for QTR 2400 and 13 x19 paper size. I got the same error message. I deleted all the presets, emptied the trash and restarted my computer. Created a new preset, and got the same error message. Curious, I tried to print using the Epson driver, and it wouldn't give me the ABW option no matter what paper type I selected. One thing, when I initially downloaded the new version of QTR, I mistakenly installed the 2400-K7 file. I went back and installed the 2400-UC file, but the K7 file still shows in my printers. I don't know how to uninstall it. Do you think this is a 10.6 problem? I was thinking maybe I should uninstall all the printer drivers, restart, and download QTR only to start, see if that works. Later download the Epson driver and see what happens. It's curious that I've lost the ABW driver since downloading the new version of QTR. Maybe I should upgrade to 10.6.8? Thanks to Roy & George for touching this QTR/epson/Mac issue, but still I can't get through, reinstalled everything (as from my first mail) started from scratch, not using old presets, no default settings...............and so on. Let us say that I did all the things that Roy suggested, but no way out at the moment! In the next days I'll try to print with QTR printing app. I will let you know Thanks Maurizio Maurizio Marchitelli mauriziomarchitelli@...
