QTR and CS6

2012-12-17 by CatherineC

Hello all!
I just installed Cones's MPS inks in my 3880.
When I opened a file in CS6 I noticed that QTR Matte Gray and QTR Photo Gray are not listed in the profiles but QTR RGB Matte and Photo are listed.
Does this mean I should use CS5 to print my black and whites?
Thanks for any explanations and help you can give.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I am using a Mac and OS 10.6.8

I think you can just use the QTR RGB profiles instead of the gray - its
just a different file format. Some applications can't read the 'Gray'
files but can read the RGB files. (The printing program I use wasn't
able to read the GRAY files so I use the RGB versions, and still do even
though the application can now use the GRAY files. This is on a PC though. )

CS6 no longer shows or allows gray ICCs (Ugh!) so just use the RGB versions
they will perform the same.

Mike and Roy,
Thanks so much for your replies. I do have CS5 installed on my computer so I can use that to print.
