QTR-Quadtone RIP

I have just started using QTR with my Epson 4000, and I have two questions:

First, which black ink should I be using. Is it as simple as use Photo ink with photo paper and Matte ink with matte paper?

The second question regards print the calibration target. The last line titled "Light light black gloss" does not print even though all my nozzles are clean.

Yeah, that's the idea.  Each of the profiles were made with that in mind.

That's because your printer doesn't have a light-light-black ink.
