picture size conflict

2014-03-03 by <dsnayphoto@...>

Hi,
It's been a long time since I used QTR and I'm having an odd problem. I sized my image to 5x7, selected 5x7 for paper size in QTR and then selected the file. When I did that, the small preview in the top right of the QTR interface shows the entire image with no loss of data. However, when I print it I only get a small portion of the image on the paper. It fills the paper, but for some reason QTR seems to think the image is much bigger than 5x7. Is there something I've forgotten?

Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave, I had something recently and Roy kindly highlighted that it could be due to the file type being a jpg. This turned out to be correct and I've had no problems printing with a tiff. That May or may not help but thought I'd share it.

Cheers, Garry

Probably due to missing .jpg internal info. Use .tif file format.

Had same inconvenience (with using a new camera) and changed it to tif and solved hereby the problem.
Thanks.
