Photogravure forum

2014-03-06 by <david@...>

For those who have expressed an interest in photogravure here the last couple of weeks or so, I started a Photogravure forum here on Yahoo late last year. No one seemed to be interested at the time and I forgot about it, until today when Yahoo advised me to use it or lose it.
If you want a place to discuss photogravure in any form, here is the address: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/photogravure/info

Maybe we can get something going.

David,

Maybe it should be an ALT Group using Jon's Piezo 2. I understand that
,not only can you make Inkjet prints but, Silver prints, Photogravure,
PP and Carbon from DTNs

Hi John,

I'm not sure what an ALT group is, compared to what I set up, but the group
is open to all approaches to making photogravure plates and printing them.

I have not heard of Cone's system being used for gravure plates before. If
you are using Cone's inks and setup to make gravure plates, please post what
you know. I would definitely be interested and I am sure other members would
too.

Thanks,

David Kachel
