qtr and my epson 1430

hi gang.. took david kachel's restart advice.. same problems persisted.. tried george butch's idea of backing up paper (i just used several more sheets of same printing paper) and voila! it printed instead of shooting blank sheet through without printing.. thanks!! a more serious problem is that when printing with qtr i get a print with lighter top and bottom (curve claria-2880-HFBG-BO) or a print with lighter and red tinted top and bottom (curve claria-2880-EPGPP)... in the attached scan the top print is printed without qtr through photoshop (with black/gray scale setting in advanced menu)...the two lower prints printed with qtr using curves shown above.. any help greatly appreciated.. tom hodge [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
