On a Mac, can I delete all the profiles that I don't need in the folder :
macHD/Library/Printers/QTR/quadtone

Yes but make sure you delete the text ink descriptor file too or else it will reinstall it. After I make the final profile I go back and delete all the preliminary ones, then rename the final one so it is nice and pretty, and so the profile drop down on print dialog isn't so cluttered. You can even move the descriptor files to a folder other than where the instal script is so it doesn't have to go through and remake all the curves for the previously made final profile (but leave the .quad files where they are in the library/printer/... I was actually writing about the "tons" of printers in the main library (not mine). And I checked and I don't seem to find any text files for all these printers and quad files.
